Cheating the limiters and V3 Empty

I know a lot of you guys have been CHEATING the system by NOT using a switch on your two step input and just using MPH to default the two step active below a certain speed. You CAN NOT DO THIS ON V3! V3 has added a flatshift limiter at the request of some dealers (Chris Delgado). The logic HAS to work with a switch, as it needs to know when the clutch is being depressed. So, any of your cars that aren't using a switch...PUT ONE IN! I recommend a 500psi pressure sensor so you can accurately control the release point of the two step to release the limiter at the moment of clutch engagement.

If your customer doesn't want to spend the money to put in a switch, your flatshift limit becomes the new main limiter.

I have NEVER been a fan of using mph for the two step...it slows the cars launch down to much, and the mph ignore is really in there to preven the launch timer from resetting. Do it right, and put in a switch...preferably a pressure sensor!!!!

Could you elaborate on how the launch is being slowed down when using the 2step with the mph?

The limiter can't release until the wheel speed limit is reached, there for it won't let the engine accelerate properly when you launch the car. This causes you to leave at a higher limiter than optimal to account for this.

Ah, ok.... What if the speed is set very low like 2 mph?

Doesn't matter....you need the limiter to release the instant the clutch engages.
