| First time trying to start the car with EFi installed. I also have the MAP sensor installed and a fuel sensor installed.
First start up was terrible.
500rpm to 2500 rpm up and down, very unsteady.
I checked for vacuum leaks....good checked for coolant levels and bled the system....good temp is stable (midline). No exhaust leaks.
The only sensor I have not hooked up to the EFi is the O2 sensor. I have an AEM wideband sensor installed. I am prepared to tap the 0-5v line and feed it into the o2 signal line of the EFI harness. I think it is the white wire on the AEM which carries the analog signal the EFI would need to interpret AFR.
Any recommendations or advice as to why the idle is all over the place.
Set up includes: 2003 350z Builty block 8.5:1 compression motor Greddy TT set up with standard 18G turbos Crawford plenum JWT S1 Cams Twin fuel pump CJM stage 2 800cc Injectors OS Giken Twin Clutch Greddy TT exhaust SGP 3" downpipes
After attempting to drive the car around the neighborhood all of the engine lights came on (VDC, CEL, SLIP, Brake) And whats worse, the rpm shot up through the roof going up to 5000rpm with my foot OFF the throttle. I had to ride the brake top make it home safely.
Stumped. | |

| Well as it turns out, I managed to get the car to Turbo Trix and it was recommended to try swapping out the EFI harness just in case there was something wrong with the harness. Well it turns out to have been a good move, because after switching out the EFI harness all of the engine lights went off. There was still an unsteady idling, but Mark assured me that this issue could be resolved with proper tuning.
He has the car now and will be working on it for the week.

He has the car now and will be working on it for the week. We apologize for the inconvienience, Mark called us and told us about the issue. While we pride ourselves in providing the best quality equipment, sometimes things slip through the crack. We are still fine tuning our quality control system. Mark is sending the harness back to us so we can diagnose the exact problem so it can be prevented in the future. Keep us posted on the progress, and thanks for the heads up! ProEFI

| Wondering if you guys can shed some light on the roving idle problem I seem to be experiencing. After starting the car, which is no easy feat, the idle is constantly roving up and down. It may take 3-4 minutes before it settles and even then, once you simply blip the throttle it starts roving again. Do you think this is a simple tuning issue that will be resolved once the car is tuned? What ideas if any do you think could be causing this? Details of the car are listed above.
(No vacuum leaks, coolant is good, no exhaust leaks.) Thank you. Randy aka Zmedic

(No vacuum leaks, coolant is good, no exhaust leaks.) Thank you. Randy aka Zmedic The car HAS to be tuned. Your tuner will handle this...PLEASE let him do so! Asking these questions before it is tuned is only going to leave us with one response. So please...let your tuner tune the car first! ProEFI

| Well there is a short vacuum hose between the plenum and the passenger side valve cover. This was not an OEM hose and unfortunately for me the hose was flattened and causing an air flow imbalance. The problem was rectified and the idle was corrected. Something so simple... Car is actively being tuned and so far at 13psi we achieved 503 rwhp...@ 15 psi we achieved 530rwhp. Not too shabby.
Working on installing a methanol kit and bumping up the boost...we'll see where it ends.

| Latest update...13 psi 503 hp, 15 psi 530 rwhp. Going for broke by adding 100% meth. I'll be back with more updates after it is installed and tuned. I could really use a can gauge if anyone has one available. | |

The can gage's are available for purchase, however the software isn't fully developed as of yet. We are working on that, and hope to have it completed for an official June release. ProEFI
