As well as features and abilities? We will get the specs posted on here shortly, we are still trying to get all of our documentation up on the website first. Thanks ProEFI

Yes, we have universal applications, for several standard cam/crank pattern configurations. What engine are you looking at running? WHat is the cam/crank pattern? ProEFI

| First I would like to say hello, I am very interested in finding out more about your ECU. My biggest problem with the aftermarket fuel injection systems that I have installed is their limited ability to read different cam/crank signals. Requiring hacking up perfectly good distributors, leaving the customer with a custom distributor that can't be easily replaced with a stock part. This is my biggest pet peeve with these systems, but not my only one. I understand you are still developing the website and more information is forthcoming. I'm just very curious about this topic for universal applications. Ford Mustangs(all years) are mainly what come through our doors, but we work on anything that comes in. | |

Thank you for your interest in ProEFI. Our system is unique in several ways. As regards to timing patterns, we do not support a universal calibration when it comes to timing patterns. The main reason for this is that you cannot accurately run calibrated sensor timing patterns at EE calibratable sample rates. Our timing patterns are flashed specifically for the application and run at processor speed, this way you get as accurate of results as possible. Having said that, we do run the stock Ford EECV timing pattern, and have already run a couple of cobra engines utilizing the stock sensors. We have not run the early EECIV computers with the TFI 8 window (1 long) distributor. At this time, we are not looking at designing a system for the older EECIV cars. Hope this helps answer your questions. ProEFI

ProEFI It does answer some of my questions. when you say "flashed specifically for the application" does that mean that the end user(me) will have the ability to load preset timing patterns, or will the unit have to be specifically ordered for an application? I think it's great that I will be able to use stock electronics for timing, as this would greatly reduce the headache factor. Another area that I have a question about return-less fuel systems, will there be support for these and will I be able to use the stock FPDM's or drive them some other way? Keeping the stock fuel system would help keep cost down for the customer. I have a few hundred more questions, I'll give it a rest for now. I really would like to get some hands on experience with the Pro EFI to see what it's like. I'm just trying to get an idea of what type of customer would benefit most from this computer. Thank you for you time.

Thank you for you time. Yes, the firmware is user flashable for the different engine configurations. There is a setting for returnless constant pressure fuel systems, and a calibratable PW Fuel pump control strategy as well.

thnx We have our own Coils we recommend, they are REALLY strong coils, 103 millijoules per coil, roughly twice the power of an LSx coil.
