Subject: experience with 2UZ and 1UZ w/ vvti? Wed Oct 20, 2010 6:42 pm
Just wanted to know if you have any 2UZ or 1UZ motors w/ vvti running well before I bite the bullet and purchase a ProEFI 128. Universal plug/pin kit is fine for me as long as I can get a pin assignment documentation. Thanks! -Andrew

2 months and no reply. Is there another forum where ProEFI is discussed?

I can't say that I know that engine family's timing pattern. What is on the crank and on the cam? More than likely it isn't a problem.

I think the crank is 36-2, but not sure about the cams yet. There are multiple sensors to detect cam timing for vvti. I will get a service manual and see what this is.

Yes crank is 36-2 and cam is 5-2
Jason my proefi is for a 1UZ VVTi so you should have the setup for it.
